Some of my VFX pre prod work on a project called "Athena"
During my time at Roll 7 I've worked on this project as a VFX artist and a Concept artist.
Athena is a platforming and combat oriented adventure game. Where the player explore a gigantic ruin of a ' babel tower' like city.
As the VFX artist I was tasked to create an interesting artstyle and direction for the VFX.
The game art direction was all about brute shapes, clean visuals with an odd twist. So i've tried to make the VFX following this direction.
During the pre prod I had a bit of time to start experimenting with in engine and in game VFX. It's a nice way for me to quickly test if all the Ideas I've put in 2D are achievable in the game engine.
